Schedule I’s First Major Update Hits Steam Beta With New Shops and Items

By TechTalesLeo, Digital Tech Explorer

Here at Digital Tech Explorer, we keep a close eye on emerging titles in the gaming world, especially those that capture significant player attention. One such game, the drug-dealing simulator known as Schedule I, has just rolled out its first significant update via a Steam beta branch. The developers anticipate a brief testing period of a day or two before a full public release.

This update for Schedule I arrives amidst a brewing controversy. Movie Games SA, publishers of Drug Dealer Simulator, have initiated an investigation into Schedule I for potential copyright infringement. While, as of now, no formal action beyond this investigation has been announced, the situation has prompted passionate fans of Schedule I to engage in a review-bombing campaign against Drug Dealer Simulator titles on Steam. Despite these external pressures, development on Schedule I—which continues to rank highly on Steam’s most played chart—is progressing rapidly.

“This beta doesn’t quite contain 100% of the features coming in the full release—I’ll be adding a few more decorative objects tomorrow,” stated Tyler of TVGS (Tyler’s Video Game Studio), the developer of Schedule I, in an announcement on Steam. “I wanted to get this beta out ASAP so that the new wall-mounted objects and pawn shop interface can be thoroughly trialled.”

Key additions in this patch include the much-anticipated Bleuballs Boutique, a new in-game store within the Schedule I town. Players are speculating whether this establishment might serve as a front for laundering illicit earnings. Another significant feature is a fully functional pawn shop, where players can sell almost any item (excluding, of course, their primary product) to a character named Mick.

For players eager to try the update before its official launch, access can be gained by right-clicking Schedule I in their Steam library, selecting “Properties,” navigating to the “Betas” tab, and opting into the “update beta.” The game will then update. While beta builds inherently carry some risk, initial reports suggest no major issues have surfaced with this particular build.
