Destroyed enemies drop triangles, which, when collected in sufficient numbers, spawn blue upgrade tokens. These can be immediately spent on critical speed boosts. Alternatively, saving them allows you to strategically enhance strike damage, add powerful missiles, or load more shots into your blaster. Careful management of these tokens is paramount, as going over the required amount for an upgrade means waiting for the cycle to reset – a detail that adds significant depth for tactical players.
