This captivating mod, which transports players from the US to the UK, is now poised to receive its first expansion. FOLON project lead Dean Carter recently shared a tantalizing image on the game’s Discord, hinting that the release of this highly anticipated new content is imminent.

Dubbed “Rabbit and Pork,” this inaugural expansion for FOLON is scheduled to launch alongside its upcoming 1.03 patch. While the update promises a wealth of new content, there’s a significant detail for existing players: the FOLON development team has confirmed that “Rabbit and Pork” will necessitate a completely new save file. Dean Carter elaborated on the community Discord, stating, “The DLC is DLC in name only really; it adds in a lot of fixes and some cut/new content. So it’ll require a new save.” This clarifies that while extensive, the update is fundamentally a major content patch.

Understanding the DLC’s Content and Future Compatibility

While the prospect of restarting a London adventure might be a temporary disappointment, this decision was made with thoughtful consideration for future expansions. Carter explained that the team has diligently worked to prevent similar issues going forward, “ensuring any future groundwork for other quests in other DLCs won’t require the new game save.” This proactive approach means players can look forward to subsequent DLCs without the need to begin anew.

Team director Emily Kemp shed further light on “Rabbit and Pork,” describing it as primarily a massive content patch rather than a traditional story expansion. “There’s various new side quests of different sizes but no main quest content,” Kemp confirmed. This indicates that while players will find fresh challenges and areas to explore, those eager for a new, extensive main questline will likely need to await a future major release from the dedicated FOLON team.
