Diablo 4 Beta: Key Dates and Preload Information for Upcoming Server Stress Test

After a long wait, the public finally got to experience Diablo 4 during the open beta in March, which was met with much excitement. If you missed out on that opportunity, Blizzard is hosting another playtest to stress-test their servers. The Diablo 4 “Server Slam” playtest kicks off on Friday, May 12.

The Diablo 4 server slam playtest is open to all players. It will commence on Friday, May 12 at 12 pm PT and conclude on Sunday, May 14 at 12 pm PT. During this time, participants will be limited to the Fractured Peaks, one of the five regions in Diablo 4’s open world. Players can choose from all five classes, with the prologue and first act set in this snowy, mountainous zone, leading to Kyovashad, the capital city. The level cap for this beta is set at 20, down from 25 in previous betas, and there are special Diablo 4 beta rewards for those who reach level 20 and defeat the Ashava world boss.

Preloading for the server slam begins on Wednesday, May 10 at 12 pm PT.

Previous Diablo 4 open beta periods

The first beta playtests for Diablo 4 took place in March 2023. Players who pre-purchased Diablo 4 had early access from March 17-19. The open beta was available to all the following weekend, from March 24-26.
